Akona was founded in 1950, based on the development of a unique patented product - a cement-based waterproof coating. While the product remains the industry standard, Akona’s emphasis today is on innovation. They produce a complete line of concrete repair products, construction grouts, underlayments, cement admixes and stucco products.
The Challenge
Akona is committed to continually developing new products for their customers and offering excellent customer service. They were wasting time with their previous EDI system by having to manually enter purchase orders into their accounting system and generate documents for shipping, potentially delaying orders and undercutting service to such trading partners as Ace Hardware, Menards and TruServ.
