Detailed Results & Business Impact

More Connected

Orders are taken and invoices are produced electronically so reducing manual entry – and its associated errors throughout the supply chain. By storing product, pricing, promotion, stock level and order history data it not only enables the purchase to pay cycle to be managed in the cloud but also provides customers with business intelligence on which to make better informed management decisions.

As a result Oakland’s team is now able to pick and process orders two hours earlier than it did before implementing TrueCommerce, with all the associated service benefits to its customers.

More Supported

Says Dean Attwell, Oakland’s Managing Director: “The major retailers communicate their order information electronically using EDI. We send electronic data to them and their suppliers on a daily basis including despatch and stock information.

“The process of receiving orders each morning used to take a couple of quite stressful hours and we sometimes encountered difficulties with some orders being lost. This exercise has now been reduced to a few minutes giving us much more time to plan the day’s operations and improve our customer service.

“The implementation of the TrueCommerce solution was very successful in a tight timescale and now provides Oakland with a robust ebusiness platform that will support our future growth.”
