Fortnum & Mason move to TrueCommerce for a seamless, reliable and secure integrated EDI solution
Coventry & Manchester UK. 6th June 2019 – TrueCommerce, a global provider of trading partner connectivity, integration and unified commerce solutions, today announced that Fortnum & Mason, the London based luxury grocer and store, has moved to TrueCommerce for a seamless, reliable and secure integrated EDI solution for trading with its third-party logistics provider.
The requirement for an EDI solution was driven by Fortnum & Mason’s change of ERP system. Tony Longhurst, Director of IT at Fortnum & Mason, said “Our decision to move from Microsoft AX2009 to Dynamics 365 demanded a change of architecture, creating an opportunity to improve the performance, reliability and traceability of the integration into our third party logistics provider.”
“The TrueCommerce EDI solution was the perfect fit for Fortnum & Mason, its flexible connectivity options equipped us with the ideal infrastructure to develop our internal processes at the most appropriate cost. We can now rely on TrueCommerce to handle the transfer of messages between ourselves and our third party logistics provider, saving us valuable time and providing us with the visibility we require.”
Fortnum & Mason did not have a previous EDI solution and as a result, were looking for a cloud based EDI provider capable of translating and exchanging messages including orders, stock movements, pick/pack data and ASN’s from its Dynamics 365 environment to its third party logistics provider without the need for any onsite EDI expertise.
Jerry Quinn, Senior Sales Manager at TrueCommerce, stated “Through the TrueCommerce fully managed EDI service, Fortnum & Mason will improve its communication processes with its third party logistics provider. By improving the reliability and traceability of these messages, I am confident that the company has the infrastructure in place to continue to accurately move and track stock from its supplier warehouse to its stores.
It has been a pleasure to work with the Fortnum & Mason team and look forward to continue this relationship in the future.”
