Hovis Selects TrueCommerce for EDI Managed Service to Drive Efficiency Gains and Reduce EDI Costs

Coventry & Manchester UK. (February 1st 2016)— TrueCommerce, a HighJump company, is pleased to announce that one of the UK’s leading baking and flour milling businesses, Hovis Ltd, has outsourced its EDI requirements to TrueCommerce, to reduce costs and on-boarding times by using the TrueCommerce OneTime service.

Hovis had been utilising multiple legacy EDI solutions to meet the trading requirements of its key customers for a number of years. However, when on-boarding and development costs continued to rise, setting up an additional connection took over 3 months, Hovis made the decision to look for a new provider. In addition to controlling rising costs and increasing on-boarding times, Hovis wanted to consolidate onto a single platform to simplify its EDI footprint, removing the burden of maintaining multiple solutions on a daily basis.

“As is the case for an increasing number of companies, both large and small, Hovis found that maintaining multiple EDI systems was becoming increasingly time consuming.” Said Michael Latimer, VP Sales & Marketing, TrueCommerce Europe. “We will give Hovis the freedom of our fully managed OneTime outsourced solution, removing the need for time consuming software updates, whilst also providing an industry proven platform to trade with its customers.”

TrueCommerce will streamline the on-boarding of customers, managing the process on Hovis’ behalf, enabling the company to connect to new customers quickly and easily without tying up crucial internal resources. In addition, TrueCommerce’s implementation team are highly experienced in migrating clients from legacy solutions to the TrueCommerce OneTime platform, which will ensure Hovis’ existing EDI customers are moved to the new system effortlessly, with no disruption to trading.

“TrueCommerce’s fully managed EDI service allows us to simplify our EDI footprint and concentrate on what we do best.” said Dominic Howson, IS Director, Hovis. “With our previous providers we wouldn’t know there was a problem until our customers told us, however the pro-active service delivered by TrueCommerce will ensure that any issues are resolved before they reach our customers.”
