Woco Group, headquartered in Bad Soden-Salmünster, Germany, is a leading global automotive supplier with a presence in 20 countries. As a Tier 1 supplier to Ford, Woco operates two manufacturing facilities and coordinates with 45 suppliers across India. The company faced growing pressure to comply with Ford's MMOG/LE supply chain standards, which promote industry best practices for electronic trading. Woco needed a robust EDI solution that could onboard dozens of suppliers quickly and automate manual, error-prone processes.
Ford mandated that Woco create an EDI compliance program for its Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers to align with MMOG/LE standards. The urgency increased as Ford planned supplier inspections. In phase one, TrueCommerce onboarded 25 suppliers and introduced a web-based management portal for EDI document exchange and VDA label printing. The portal allowed suppliers to send purchase order acknowledgments, while Woco could receive invoice data in EDI format and export it as Excel or PDF for easy processing.
