About ECD Lacrosse 

ECD Lacrosse is a manufacturer of high-quality Lacrosse products. Founded in 2011 by Greg Kenneally, ECD Lacrosse began in his college bedroom when he set out to create superior wax mesh for lacrosse sticks. Partnering with his twin brother Mike, the business quickly grew from a small operation to a nationally recognized brand. By 2013, increasing demand led to multiple expansions, moving from Greg’s home to a dedicated warehouse in Maryland. Why ECD Lacrosse Needed EDI  

When a major sporting goods store expressed interest in carrying ECD Lacrosse’ products, it came with one requirement–EDI compliance for order fulfillment. Having worked with other suppliers who successfully implemented TrueCommerce’s EDI platform, the sporting goods store referred ECD Lacrosse to the system. The decision to transition was clear. During implementation, ECD Lacrosse’ positive experience and strong customer support reinforced its confidence in TrueCommerce.  

By 2019, ECD Lacrosse had also outgrown its previous ERP system and decided to transition to Sage 100 to accommodate its growing business. The transition required coordination between multiple vendors, including TrueCommerce, ECD Lacrosse’ IT provider, and its ERP representative, a challenge for which TrueCommerce was more than prepared. Fraizer highlighted how TrueCommerce simplified the process, “Our accounting software and TrueCommerce run on a remote desktop platform, requiring coordination across multiple vendors for any changes. Despite working with both smaller companies and a larger provider like TrueCommerce, the collaboration has been surprisingly seamless—making the entire process effortless. ”

TrueCommerce’s EDI platform allowed ECD Lacrosse to scale efficiently while saving time in order fulfillment. Prior to this automation, ECD Lacrosse manually entered box counts and weights using spreadsheets. Frazier noted, “TrueCommerce has been a huge time-saver by automating box counts and weight tracking. With more distribution centers and hundreds of products, having automated totals for orders has been invaluable.”  

Implementing TrueCommerce’s label process and automatic order fulfillment resulted in significant time savings. Frazier said, “The new label process has saved us about 25% of the time. Previously it took three to four hours to complete a full set of labels for five days. With automatic weight calculations, we’ve probably shaved off at least an hour.” 

Beyond time savings, automation also played a key role in reducing chargebacks from major retailers with strict compliance requirements. Kenneally noted, “Chargebacks are a big deal for us. Anything we can do to improve accuracy and spend less time fixing mistakes is crucial.” By automating order fulfillment, TrueCommerce helped increase accuracy, minimizing errors and the time spent addressing chargebacks caused by failed delivery standards.
